Take a backup now

Copies every table the system reads or writes into the backup store and reads each copy back to verify it. The nightly run does the same at 02:00. This writes to the backup store only — never to a live table.

Restore

Three steps, in order. Nothing is written until step 3, and a copy of the table as it stands now is taken first, so the restore itself can be undone. Only the master-data tables edited in place can be restored here — budget lines, suppliers, items. The ledger is restored through Neon; workflow submissions cannot be restored by API.
